Big Momma Essentials was born from something deeply personal: a mother’s desire to care for her family and a lifelong passion for helping others.

I’m Armie, the founder of Big Momma Essentials, a Filipina mother of six, herbalist, and healthcare professional with more than 18 years of experience working in the medical field. My years in healthcare gave me a deep appreciation for the human body, the importance of thoughtful care, and the responsibility that comes with creating products people trust for themselves and their families.

But my journey did not begin in a laboratory or a boardroom.

It began with family, herbs, and the belief that some of the most meaningful traditions are passed from one generation to the next.

My Filipino heritage taught me to appreciate the connection between nature, family, and caring for others. Over the years, my curiosity grew into a passion for studying herbs and skincare traditions from different cultures. I became inspired by Filipino herbal traditions as well as Korean, Chinese, and Japanese skincare philosophies and ingredients—bringing together generations of botanical knowledge with my experience in healthcare and modern cosmetic formulation.

I began growing herbs, carefully creating infusions, and formulating products in small batches with intention and purpose. What started as a desire to create thoughtful products for my own family grew into something much bigger.

Big Momma Essentials became my way of caring for other families, too.

Every jar, bottle, soap, and balm represents countless hours of learning, creating, improving, and listening to the people who use our products. Many of our herbs are thoughtfully selected and infused into our formulations, and every product is created with the same care I would want for my own children and family.

I didn’t create Big Momma Essentials simply to sell skincare.

I created it because I wanted people to feel seen, cared for, and confident in the products they bring into their homes.
